LilyPad on Main

Emily Robinson | Director
My husband, Randy, and I have lived in Huxley since 2007. We have four children, Kaleb, Kolby, Kinley, and Kyler, and a yellow lab named Wrigley. I like to golf, camp, swim, and play games.

My favorite thing about working with children is seeing the world through their eyes by listening and playing with them.

I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Buena Vista University. I ran a registered home daycare for five years and also taught three year old preschool at Lilypad.

Mikayla Pick | Lead Teacher, Grasshoppers
I grew up just twenty minutes south of here in Ankeny, Iowa with my mom, dad, brother, and two sisters. I spent much of my time growing up playing all types of sports, especially soccer.

I have grown up working with kids for the majority of my life. When I was in fifth grade I began babysitting for neighbors and family friends. Throughout high school I continued to babysit, nanny during the summers, and also began working for The Playground for Kids. Spring semester of my junior year I got an internship with LilyPad Learning Center, and I continued to work with them throught my remaining time at Iowa State. I graduated from with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child, Adult, and Family Services spring of 2013 and was thrilled to get the job here.

My favorite thing about working with kids is seeing them understand new things. I love when things just click in their minds and you can tell just from the look on their face that they understand. It is so fun to me to see how much they take in even from day to day.

Ashlee Rea | Lead Teacher, Butterflies
I started working in a childcare facility when I was in high school and have ever since. It has been about seven years working with young children. I also have babysat for multiple families throughout the years. I have an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

My favorite thing about working with children is that no matter what kind of mood I am in, the children always know how to put a smile on my face and brighten my day.

My husband and I live in Nevada with his son, Nathan, and our dog, Colby. I love spending time with my family as as much as I can. We love to ride motorcycles, go boating, and camp.

Alisha Campbell | Lead Teacher Bumblebees

My hobbies are singing, painting, and helping people. I have one cat named Fluffy and a new puppy named Bailey. I just moved out of my house and now live on my own with my sister Megan.

I love working with children because they always bring a smile to my face. They bring out the inner kid in everyone.

I’ve mentored for three years and as soon as I started mentoring I knew I wanted to work in a childcare center.

Gale Lingenfelter | Lead Teacher Caterpillars

I live with my husband in Nevada. We have a Boston Terrior dog and three cats, all rescued from shelters. We have 11 grandchildren. My favorite hobby is quilting and playing with my grandchildren. I have completed 3 half marathons.

My favorite thing about working with children is that they are always changing, learning, and developing new skills.

I am an experienced grandmother, "Nana." I have worked at LilyPad since 2013, and I had my own state licensed home daycare for five years.
