Tutoring

My name is Amber Toms, Lead Teacher, Dragonflies and Four Year Old Preschool. I am super excited to be bringing my tutoring to the Lilypad! I started tutoring when I moved here from MN in 2010. Prior to moving here, I taught First Grade and that is when I realized I had a STRONG passion for teaching reading, so I decided to further my schooling and receive my K – 12 Reading Endorsement.

Prior to teaching First Grade I also knew that math was another huge passion of mine…I enjoy it, it comes very easy to me, and I love to make students feel this same way towards this sometimes challenging, yet very fun subject. Because math has always been a passion of mine, while going to school for my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, I also pursued my Middle School Math Endorsement, endorsing me to teach math from K – 8th grade.
